DESCRIPTION
We see a country still life with the objects that used to be a part of the everyday life – a samovar, a petroleum lamp, some bottles, an old bag. This canvas attracts your attention. It is not the canvas size, although it’s quite impressive, and not even a stunning painting manner with its strokes sometimes broken and sometimes soft and stretching but the feeling the time has stopped is the most impressive. You seem to have found yourself in the freeze frame of the past, that is in the attic of an old house full of the things left by someone, or in the artist’s workshop full of the ancient items, or in the treasury of the old days – antique store which you have dreamt to visit for so long.
