DESCRIPTION
We see a rocky shore with scant vegetation, gradually succeeded by the quiet surface of the coastal waters. Everything is filled with wet air and cold wind. We see no details, that is the color spot that makes the shape. The quick and accurate brushstrokes sketch and precisely depict the features of the northern landscape, but the feeling of the mighty elements of the North that is beyond the control of a man, so accurately and subtly conveyed by the artist, predominates in the picture.
