DESCRIPTION
The Garden of Love is one of the gardens in Château de Villandry. It is a regular French garden which inherited a history of Italian art from the XVII century. The garden is amazing by its elegance and diversity. The architect intends that these bizarre live fences should represent different kinds of love: tender, passionate, fickle and tragic. Time is frozen in the architecture and the landscape saved for many centuries and cannot help but have an impact on the sensitive soul of the artist. Multicolor of herbs, southern sunshine, elegant aroma – all these are shown in this painting.
