DESCRIPTION
A tough gross green bush with its long sharp leaves and unusual blossoms which form a lilac cloud interspersed with white and yellow always becomes the center of any garden. It is not a surprise that it is this bush that the artist has chosen as the background for the portrait of a little girl. The decorative manner, the arrangement of the colored planes with the green predominating over them make the portrait monumental and remind of the best Russian paintings of the 1920s-1930s.
