DESCRIPTION
One of the poems by Junna Moritz – children poetess – begins with the lines: “A hundred fantasies in my head. Dream together with me and there will be double that.” Teenage friendship becomes one of the interesting stories in Dmitry’s paintings. Not only does the same motive work here but there is not much more exciting other than the expressive directness of a child body. There is not only a considerate contrast between the warmth of the grass, the wooden surface of the boat and fresh clearness of the lake’s surface absorbing the last remaining beams of the day, it is in the light feeling of childhood that Dmitry virtuously encaptures in this painting and that everyone can save in their hearts till the end of their lives.
