Julia Kostsova
(born 1983)
Julia was born in Yekaterinburg. In 2004 she graduated from Sverdlov Art School and applied to the Russian Academy of Arts (a.k.a. Repin Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture), St. Petersburg. Julia has been given a special grant from the Russian Ministry of Culture and awarded the gold medal from the Russian Academy of Arts for her success in her studies. Since 2012 Julia has been a member of The Artists Union of Russia. Since 2014 she has taught painting at Hunan Women University (Chansha, China).
Julia actively participates in many regional and country-level exhibitions, creative contests, international plein airs and youth festivals. Her works are presented in private and state collections in Belgium, Brazil, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, Montenegro, Russia, Ukraine, USA.
