DESCRIPTION
The canvas “Pink Cloud” by Sergei Nekrasov is very traditional for Russian contemporary painting in terms of its mood, painting technique and forms. We see the contrast of the colorful planes with a tendency to soft transitions of tones, and something similar to the drawing language such as thin lines, harsh outlines of the objects, theatrics and the scale of the main figure. All these produce the impression of timelessness. The pink cloud is just a colourful accent that emphasizes the depth of the autumn sky, the whiteness of the bell tower and the dark diversity of colours typical of the Central Russian landscape, so familiar to every Russian.
