Dmitry talks about his painting:
“I like to paint flowers. Flowers are a wonderful gift of a nature. Poems are written about flowers, they are given as a present, they desired and admired. I image flowers in different styles, depending on my mood, feeling and experience at that given moment.My paintings – are a diary of my soul. I started to paint in the first grade at University. Real landscapes at the beginning, then still lifes and paintings with a story. The more I know about painting the richer my painting language has become. Later I have found the beloved colors: deep dark-green, clear red, hot orange, sometimes blue but rather terracotta and always yellow, of course. Real objects only inspire my fantasies, a reason to sink into a magical world of paints. In my works I return to my experiences and memories again and again. Each time I find new notes for lyrical melodies in my paintings. And that will go on forever whilst I am alive.”
